“She hit you?” asked Ning Shu.
w.a.n.g Bo pursed his lips and said, “Anqi’s stomach hurts. I don’t know what’s going on. Can you take her to the hospital tomorrow?”
w.a.n.g Bo then turned around, took out the summer sleeping mat, and spread it on the ground.
Ning Shu glanced at Cai Anqi’s room before closing her door to sleep.
w.a.n.g Bo should have gone to work the next day, but the red mark on his face didn’t fade at all. Instead, it had become more prominent, and half of his face was even a little swollen.
Ning Shu did not let w.a.n.g Bo go to work. There was no way he could go there like this, after all. She found some anti-inflammatory medicine for him.
w.a.n.g Bo was very silent today. He took the medicine given by Ning Shu without speaking a word.
Ning Shu entered the bedroom with medicine and woke up Cai Anqi who was in a deep sleep.
Cai Anqi took medicine and lay down to sleep again.
Ning Shu said, “w.a.n.g Bo told me you weren’t feeling well. Let’s go to the hospital.”
At the mention of the hospital, Cai Anqi’s body shook for a moment, and all her sleepiness instantly vanished. “I’m not going to the hospital. I’m fine.”
Cai Anqi rubbed her stomach. It really didn’t hurt now, as if the pain last night was just an illusion.
Ning Shu’s face turned cold. “Then why did you hit w.a.n.g Bo? The mark on his face made him unable to go to work today. How can he go out now? This mark wouldn’t disappear in a day.”
Cai Anqi was taken aback for a minute. “He forced me. I had already told him that I wasn’t feeling well.”
Ning Shu sneered. “Don’t push your luck, Cai Anqi. When you were with other men, I didn’t see you say that they forced you. My son is honest, but that doesn’t mean you can bully him.”
Cai Anxi stared at Ning Shu and then casually said, “When did I bully him? It’s just self-defense. Rape in marriage is still rape. Could it be that I am not allowed to resist?”
Ning Shu didn’t reply. She glanced at Cai Anqi’s stomach and lightly said, “The things you depend on aren’t so reliable.”
“Get up and get ready to go to the hospital.” Ning Shu took the bowl and went out.
Cai Anqi got up and went out of the bedroom to see w.a.n.g Bo sitting on the chair. She walked over and saw that his face was indeed red.
Cai Anqi also felt that she had gone a little too far. She decided to give w.a.n.g Bo something sweet to make up for it. “I’m sorry I was too heavy-handed. I’m really sorry.”
Cai Anqi moved near w.a.n.g Bo’s ear and whispered, “You can do whatever you want tonight.”
w.a.n.g Bo looked at Cai Anqi and said, “Sit down and eat.”
Noticing w.a.n.g Bo’s expression loosening up, Cai Anqi felt relieved and sat down.
Ning Shu said to w.a.n.g Bo, “Accompany me to the hospital.”
“Okay.” w.a.n.g Bo nodded.
“I’ll go with you,” said w.a.n.g Bo to Cai Anqi.
Cai Anqi immediately shook her head. “I’m already good. I’m not going to the hospital.”
“But you were in so much pain last night. Let’s go and have a look just in case,” said w.a.n.g Bo.
She said impatiently, “I said I’m not going! I’m fine.”
“Alright. If you don’t want to go, we don’t have to.” w.a.n.g Bo compromised.
Ning Shu said nothing.
Since w.a.n.g Bo didn’t go to work, the couple ate breakfast and shut themselves up in the bedroom.
Cai Anqi unb.u.t.toned w.a.n.g Bo’s shirt, obviously wanting to test if it was still as painful as last night.
When w.a.n.g Bo saw that Cai Anqi was in the mood, he also naturally hugged her.
As soon as he entered, she sucked in a deep breath. Evidently, she was still overwhelmed by the body-tearing pain.
